Madiba Bay school of flight



  Multi Engine Rating Requirements:

(1)  In the case of training for a single-pilot multi-engine class rating the training must consist of at least –

 

(a)

7 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction in multi-engine aeroplane operation; and

 

(b)

6 hours dual flight training in multi-engine aeroplane operation, including not less than 2 hours 30 minutes dual flight training under normal conditions and at least 3 hours 30 minutes dual flight training in engine failure procedures and asymmetric flight.

 

 

If an instrument rating on the Multi is required and where the Multi is the aircraft on which the initial instrument rating is done, then an additional 5 hours of Instrument Training on the Multi is required for this purpose.
